eh, I've been busy! I attempted to apply the FA/DP concepts to Wikipedia governance, starting in 2007. As is generally predictable, the response was vehement rejection. Established oligarchies generally fear any change that would spread out power, they believe that this will empower ignorance. I'm still working with Wikiversity, user Abd. There is a lot more potential there.

Hi can I get your email?

Once upon a time, long, long ago, in a land far away, you could email me through the WMF user interface. However, early last year, I was globally banned by the office, due to private (shhh! Sekrit!) complaints. They do not warn users before doing this, and if the harm was off-wiki (and there was no obvious on-wiki harm), global banning will actually make it worse. In any case, my main on-line activity is now on coldfusioncommunity.net, a WordPress blog. I will read any comment left on that blog, so find a page with comments enabled (almost all of them) and leave a comment with a real email address. The comment may be anonymous, but ask for an email return and make non-troll noises and you will get a email

Meanwhile, I will use this blog for voting systems stuff, there have been many developments in the years since I was active with voting systems. Eventually, I will get around to fixing beyondpolitics.org, it went down from a PHP upgrade breaking MediaWiki.
